Pay Per Click Advertising
You might have heard people talking about Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising on the internet or you might have advertised your business online using PPC in Google Adwords. Perhaps you have never heard about PPC advertising. Most of my clients do not know about PPC and when I told them that those advertisements (ads) on the very top in yellow icons and on the right hand side are PPC, they were very surprised that you have to pay for it to be on the top page. Here I am going to show you how you can advertise your business online using PPC, especially in Google Adwords.
So What is PPC?
PPC stands for pay-per-click, a model of internet marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Essentially, it’s a way of buying visits to your website, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically (http://www.wordstream.com/ppc – 2015).
From the above definition, we can see that every time someone clicks on your ad, you will pay for it. They click on your ad and visit your website but that does not mean they are going to buy your services / products. However, your ad has directed traffic to your website.
PPC is like gambling. It depends how much you want to bid on your relevant keywords. For example, for the key phrase “office cleaners perth”, A put $2/click, B put $3/click and C put 5$/click. In this situation, C will win the bet and get the highest ranking on a keywords search on “office cleaners perth”. So, the more money you put on your relevant keywords, the more likely you will be on the top page. I have two clients who have been using PPC in Google Adwords and it has worked very well for them. So if you have the budget, you might try PPC for online advertising.
